December 1 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The Bourbon Trail Comes to Hannibal!
Bourbon enthusiasts are sure to enjoy The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum’s Spirits and Sarcasm event to be held on December 1, 2023 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Rialto Banquet Hall in Hannibal.
Combining Mark Twain’s love of whiskey and his sarcastic sense of humor, Spirits and Sarcasm, will include a formal whiskey tasting presented by Dave Otto of Spirit Drinkers of St. Louis. Otto, as self-anointed bourbon expert, will explain the nuances from a selection of five tastings. Our emcee will be none other than Mark Twain, sharing his wit and wisdom.
The evening includes music, hors oeuvres, cash bar, tastings, and a live auction. Thirteen to fifteen specialty and rare bottles of bourbon will be auctioned off.
Spirits and Sarcasm is a fundraiser for The Mark Twain Home Foundation. Tickets are $50 per person and available in the Mark Twain Museum Gift Shop, on the corner of North Main and Center in downtown Hannibal or you may purchase a reserved table for 8 for $500.
