The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum invites the public to a special event entitled Dea Hoover Book Talk and Signing. Join author, tour company operator, and lifelong Missouri native, Dea Hoover, for a book talk and signing to discuss her new book entitled “Hannibal, A Walk Through History” at the Mark Twain Museum Gallery on Saturday, November 5th at 4:00 p.m.
Take a walk with Hoover as she guides you through the history of America’s Hometown immortalized through the writings by Mark Twain. Dea will lead you through the paths of the childhood adventures of Mark Twain which he shared through his stories of Tom, Becky, Jim and Huck.
Dea Hoover, who has been featured in newspapers, radio, magazines, and on television, including The History Channel’s “The States”, will discuss the research she undertook for both her books, the history she discovered along the way, and also be available to autograph both “Hannibal, A Walk Through History” and “STL Scavenger: The Ultimate Guide to St. Louis’ Hidden Treasures”.
Copies of Dea Hoover’s newest book “Hannibal: A Walk Through Time” as well as her 2021 book “STL Scavenger: The Ultimate Guide to St. Louis’s Hidden Treasures” will both be available for purchase at the Mark Twain Museum Gallery Gift Shop at 120 N. Main, Hannibal preceding and following the presentation.
