Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum Group Tours

It's not a trip to Hannibal without a tour of the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum! Come see the place that inspired the stories and made us America's Hometown.

Come discover how a young boy growing up in the small village of Hannibal became one of the world’s most beloved authors. A self-guided tour of the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum properties gives you the chance to explore the Hannibal of Samuel Clemens’s childhood and experience the beloved stories he created as Mark Twain through the power of his imagination. Try to plan your visit to catch one of our live performances at the Museum Gallery!

The Museum properties are nestled in the heart of historic downtown Hannibal, allowing your group to browse the many unique shops and take in the scenic peacefulness of the muddy Mississippi during their tour.

All tours are self-guided which allows your group to move through the properties at your own pace. We recommend allowing an hour and a half to two hours to get the full museum experience. Please note if you have group members with mobility issues, there are several buildings included as part of your tour. Some of our properties, as they are protected, historic buildings, do require going up or down stairs to see all rooms and exhibits.

We work hard to make your group tour an enjoyable experience. If you have special needs or questions regarding a tour, please call us or email us with the form below and we’ll do everything we can to help.

To receive the group rate on your tour, please contact us directly. Our online ticketing service does not support the group rate discount.
