Put your baking skills and creativity to work in the Mark Twain Museum’s Annual Gingerbread Contest and Display!
You can enter your Gingerbread House design in one of our 4 categories; Children’s Division, Teen Division and Adult and Baker’s Division. Children, Teen and Adult categories can use purchased gingerbread kits. Baker’s Division must use gingerbread made from scratch.
Don’t miss the delectable display of Gingerbread Houses in the Museum Gallery Windows during the Holiday Season. Gingerbread Houses be displayed to the public in the Museum Gallery windows from December 2nd through New Year’s Day.
Vote for People’s Choice during the Victorian Festival of Christmas Living Windows on December 14th between 5:00 and 8:00 pm. Winners will be announced on the following Monday.
Gingerbread houses must be placed on a base not to exceed 12″ by 18″ that is constructed of cardboard, foam core, or 1/2′ plywood. Interior supports for Bakers Division, if needed, may consist of straws, toothpicks, small dowels, spaghetti, or candy canes.
Drop off your edible creation at the Museum Gallery at 120 N. Main Street, November 24th through December 13th between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
One gingerbread house per person with entry form will be allowed. No entry fee required. Entry forms available in museum gallery gift shop upon delivery of gingerbread house.
