Mark Your Calendars – The Bourbon Trail Returns to Hannibal!

Bourbon AND cigar enthusiasts are sure to enjoy The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum’s Spirits and Sarcasm event on Friday, November 15th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Hannibal Country Club.

Combining Mark Twain’s love of whiskey and his sarcastic sense of humor, Spirits and Sarcasm will include a formal bourbon tasting presented by Dave Otto of Spirit Drinkers of St. Louis. Otto, as self-anointed bourbon expert, will explain the nuances of each of the five tastings featured that night.

New this year will be cigars by Leatherwood Handmade Cigars of St. James Missouri. Owner Robert Brunck will be bringing cigars that pair nicely with bourbons and will introduce what to look for when pairing a cigar with the perfect drink. A variety of cigars will be on site for purchase.

Tickets are $65 per person. The evening includes music, hors oeuvres, cash bar, five educational tastings, and a live auction. Thirteen to fifteen specialty and rare bottles of bourbon will be auctioned off, as well as a selection of rare cigars you may never see again in your lifetime.

Spirits and Sarcasm is a fundraiser for The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum. If you would like to reserve your tickets early, please call 573-221-9010 ext. 401.
