Spirits and Sarcasm

November 12, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Bourbon enthusiasts are sure to enjoy The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum’s Spirits and Sarcasm event to be held on November 12th from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Combining Mark Twain’s love of whiskey and his sarcastic sense of humor, Spirits, and Sarcasm, will be hosted by Mark Twain (actor Jim Waddell) and include a formal whiskey tasting presented by Dave Otto of Spirit Drinkers of St. Louis. Otto, as a self-anointed bourbon expert, will explain the nuances from a selection of five tastings.

The evening includes music, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, tastings, and a live auction, featuring Missouri Hall-of-Fame Auctioneer Dale A. DeLaPorte. Twelve specialty and rare bottles of bourbon will be auctioned including a rare release, a 6-year single barrel bottle of Willett Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey.

Spirits and Sarcasm is a fundraiser for The Mark Twain Home Foundation. Tickets are $50 per person and available through the Museum
