Legendary Blues guitarist, Jon McDonald, takes the stage at Music Under the Stars on June 9th. With a steady influence on the soul of Chicago blues for decades, Jon McDonald has walked a path that few musicians could ever hope to tread. He spent 13 years as the band leader for Magic Slim & The Teardrops, worked alongside Hubert Sumlin, Koko Taylor, Junior Wells, and shared the stage with everyone from Taj Mahal and Paul Butterfield, to Rory Gallagher and Les Paul. McDonald headlined the 2016 Cape Fear Blues Festival and has become a regular participant at weekly Cape Fear Blues Jams.
